Dream Image North East – The Conclusion to a Life Changing Project

A project that started in November 2010, and Diamond Press have been heavily involved in, came to a successful and happy conclusion for the deserving winner, Phyllis Samuels. Diamond Press provided the design and printing for the project that included stationery, leaflets, posters, invitations and letters.  In addition to this our Managing Director Yvonne Wallace was one of the organisers and co-ordinators.

On Monday night, many participants of Dream Image North East and friends and family of Phyllis gathered in the impressive surroundings of Rockliffe Hall Hotel at a champagne reception to celebrate the conclusion of what has been a life changing journey.

Judie McCourt, compere for the evening, introduced firstly Rebecca Samuels, Phyllis’s daughter who had nominated her Mum as she felt that her Mum had always put others first and that such a project would be the perfect opportunity to make her Mum the centre of attention. Rebecca had also been impressed with the ethos of Dream Image North East and the coming together of all of these businesses and professions in what she regarded as “a selfless project to help others.”

Speeches also followed from Paul Baguley, Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon who had carried out scar revision surgery on Phyllis’s face and Mike Heads, Dental Implantologist and Cosmetic Dentist who had given Phyllis the smile she always wanted.

Guests waited excitedly for Phyllis to make her entrance down the old staircase. Phyllis, as a result of her new found confidence, had specifically requested to be accompanied by a fit, handsome young man and Dean Wallace was more than happy to oblige. The result was an awe inspiring moment when Phyllis appeared in a midnight blue evening gown and jewellery to die for, showing off her stunning complexion and a smile she was obviously proud of. It was difficult not to feel emotion as you realise what a difference Dream image North East has made to Phyllis’s life.

Phyllis is over the moon with her achievement and couldn’t thank enough the 19 North East businesses and professions who had given freely their time and expertise and an amazing opportunity which has changed her life.

From the point of view of Dream Image North East, the evening epitomised everything that the project had set out to do

“to give a deserving person a life changing makeover worth thousands of pounds and to show that the North East Region has a wealth of expertise and a variety of excellent services right on our doorstep.”
